Children's Advocacy Center Program
Our Children’s Advocacy Center Program (CAC) provides a safe environment where children who have disclosed sexual or severe physical abuse can be interviewed by a trained forensic interviewer. A multi-disciplinary team of professionals observes the interview via closed-circuit television while the child’s statements are preserved by videotape for further investigation as well as to reduce the frequency of questioning for children and families. Additionally, clinical services including individual, family, and group counseling are offered through the CAC on a referral basis to victims and non-offending family members, as well as outside community members. CAS maintains four interview sites including Hammond, Denham Springs, Gonzales, and Jackson.Children's Advocacy Center Welcome Guide
